The aim of the body language gestures section of the website is to showcase and explore a fascinating array of non-verbal communicators.
David B. Givens, Ph.D., director of the Center for Nonverbal Studies has very kindly allowed us to share details of the Nonverbal Dictionary of Gestures, Signs & Body Language Cues. Where possible, therefore, we will draw upon facts and information contained within this outstanding resource.
Each body language gesture will have its own page, the links to which will be presented in alphabetical order below.
In time we intend to group featured items together within appropriate categories for easy reference. For example material on self-touching gestures will eventually form part of a more extensive section on haptic communication.
As a complementary resource, we also plan to put together an extensive image gallery of body language gestures. So keep checking back for updates. Better still, keep right up-to-date with all the latest developments by joining the body language information and resources mailing list - which you can do via the sign up form on the website homepage.
